This morning as I was watering, I was upset to find that the hornworms had done a little damage to one of my tomato plants. I have a real love-hate relationship with them, because as caterpillars go, they really are quite beautiful. I can't find it in my heart to kill them, so I just take them back to the woods, and try to relocate them.
Heirloom white cucumbers have been a staple of my garden for years!
Although I do freeze most of my sweat peas, I also love to eat them right off the vine!
Planted nearly 60 strawberry plants this spring, and they have really been producing like crazy! Nothing tastes so sweet as home grown strawberries!
Love the lavender eggplant blooms, but you have to be careful when picking because they also have nasty thorns.
My watermelons sure took a while to produce fruit! These should be ripe by August!
Over the past couple of years, I have been planting flowers between my tomato plants to give my vegetable garden a little more color! The morning glories are actually climbing up giant sunflower stalks that I planted between my tomato plants. Will post more pics of the flower garden soon!
