Its always such a treat to watch the Red-bellied Woodpecker (Melanerpes carolinus) feed on insect grubs in the old tree stump we use as a feeding platform.
Absolutely gorgeous specimen of a Red-Headed Woodpecker (Melanerpes erythrocephalus). Wish they would find the woodpecker feeder we have set up near the window.
We have a healthy population of red Cardinals (Cardinalis cardinalis) in the area.
This beautiful Painted Bunting (Passerina ciris) is a first time visitor to our feeders this year!
A gorgeous Blue Grosbeak (Passerina caerulea) that is another frequent visitor to our feeders.
A beautiful Rose-breasted Grosbeak (Pheucticus ludovicianus)
Tufted Titmouse (Baeolophus bicolor)
Black-capped Chickadee (Poecile atricapillus)
One of several pairs of Inca Doves (Columbina inca) that are regulars at our feeders. We counted 15 individuals feeding on the stump late last summer.
